Scaling Lead Generation Without Sacrificing Lead Quality
How I rebuilt Nard's paid acquisition and qualification engine to more than double monthly lead volume, improve MQL conversion, increase sales meetings, and reduce acquisition costs within two months.

01 / The Business
More than a cashier system.
Nard is a Retail Management System built for selected retail businesses rather than a generic POS solution for every business type.
That made paid acquisition more complex.
The challenge was not simply finding people interested in a cashier system. It was finding retailers that matched Nard's product model, geography, industry focus, pricing, and subscription structure.
02 / The Challenge
Generating leads was easy.
Generating the right leads wasn't.
For a lead to represent a strong potential fit for Nard, multiple conditions needed to align simultaneously.

Relevant retail sectors only
Cloud

Annual Subscription

Qualified Nard Lead
Volume alone wasn't the KPI. Qualified volume was.
03 / Before
The existing funnel was limiting both scale and quality.
Before the new approach, the acquisition system relied on relatively narrow audiences, manually selected locations, conventional UGC-style creatives, and limited qualification before a lead reached sales.
Creative
Heavy reliance on traditional UGC-style videos with limited visual pacing.
Targeting
Relatively narrow audiences and manually selected geographic areas.
Qualification
A significant amount of lead filtering happened after submission instead of inside the acquisition funnel.
04 / The Approach
I didn't just make the existing funnel cheaper.
I redesigned how it worked.

05 / Creative
Winning attention before asking for the lead.
The previous creative direction relied heavily on conventional UGC-style videos.
I introduced a faster-paced creative approach using short-form Reels, stronger hooks, multiple visual scenes, and clearer messaging around Nard's offer and product value.
The objective was to capture attention quickly while giving prospects a clear reason to take action.
I also improved ad copy to make three things clearer before the click.

06 / Targeting
Going broader to get more precise.
The previous approach relied on relatively small audiences and manually selected areas.
I reversed that logic.
Instead of continuously narrowing the audience, I targeted the broader city and excluded areas that consistently fell outside Nard's qualified customer profile.
At the same time, I expanded audience size to give Meta's algorithm more room to learn and optimize.
Before
Small Audience
- Selected locations
- Limited learning
After
Broader City
- Excluded unqualified areas
- Larger eligible audience
07 / Qualification
Turning the lead form into a qualification engine.
Instead of waiting for the sales team to discover whether a lead was qualified after submission, I moved part of that qualification process before the lead entered the CRM.
Using Meta Instant Form conditional logic, I created qualification paths based on Nard's customer criteria.

Prospects who did not meet key criteria could be filtered before continuing through the journey.
This reduced noise entering the sales funnel and helped focus optimization around more relevant prospects. It was one of several changes that improved lead quality, not the sole cause of the MQL improvement.
08 / Tracking
Better decisions needed better data.
Paid acquisition was only one part of the funnel I improved.
I built a stronger measurement foundation across the website to better understand visitor behavior, track conversions, and improve the quality of data available for optimization.
09 / Data Loop
Teaching the algorithm what a good lead actually looks like.
A form submission does not automatically mean a valuable lead.
I connected the advertising ecosystem with Nard's CRM so lead-quality outcomes could become part of the optimization feedback loop.
Qualified and unqualified leads could be differentiated, giving the advertising system more meaningful signals beyond a simple form submission.

10 / Messaging
Making the offer clearer before the click.
I improved ad copy so prospects could understand Nard's offer, product value, and positioning before entering the lead funnel.
The goal was to reduce ambiguity and attract people with a stronger understanding of what Nard provides.

13 / System Transformation
The transformation was bigger than a campaign optimization.

- Broader targeting
- Conditional logic
- Full tracking stack
- CRM feedback loop
- Improved messaging
After
- 1,000+ monthly leads
- 22.4% MQL rate
- 110 monthly meetings
- 144 EGP CPL
Final Takeaway
Scale wasn't the real win.
The real win was building an acquisition system capable of generating more leads while becoming increasingly better at identifying the customers Nard actually wanted.
